We realized a long time ago that the best way to protect your brand is to stop non-compliance before it starts. Technology has come a long way in its ability to prevent non-compliance, but we believe that if you put the effort into selecting the right publishers (up front), then technology and ongoing compliance measures should never be needed. Of course, we still put heavy stock in our Brand Safe technology (as insurance).
Over the years, we have developed (and meticulously perfected) a three step approach that guarantees brands are never exposed to undesirable or under performing environments:
1. Start by being selective
Our network is not just 100% Brand Safe, it's brand smart. We don't just screen out the bad apples, we search for the ones that truly shine. Our strategy emphasizes up front verification (by actual people) because history has taught us that you can't rely solely on automated systems. Our multi-step verification process goes beyond standard screening to look at a publisher's reputation and brand value in the online and offline communities. We take everything into consideration from site metrics and content quality to references and trust scores, and put it all through the most unforgiving peer review process in the industry. Unless each and every one of our client facing departments agree that a publisher deserves a place on our network, they don't make the cut. It has taken us the better part of a decade to perfect our network of publishers, so at this point we are VERY selective about who we provide with access to your brand.
2. Impose a probationary period
Anyone can say their inventory performs fantastically, but saying and doing can be two very different things. Brand Safe allows us to quarantine new publishers in the network giving us an opportunity to get to know them and evaluate their performance before we expose their inventory to brand sensitive clients.
3. Proactively enforce compliance
Compliance doesn't end with acceptance. Though most of our efforts are invested in a proactive solution, we still employ technology to make sure non-compliance never becomes an issue. The 3,000 sites in our network undergo exhaustive quality monitoring 24 hours a day, seven days a week (by the industry's toughest police force) to make certain we offer the safest possibly community for your brand.
