Summary
Casale Media is looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our development team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be part of a project-based team responsible for building complex online media management systems, with a focus on interrelated web-based GUI components. This opportunity will call on your experience gathering and documenting business requirements as well as planning and executing test phases. You will be involved in many aspects of the development process, from product conceptualization through to test planning and execution. You will perform Functionality, integration, user-interface and usability testing, leading to successful product delivery.
Responsibilities - Facilitate the requirements-gathering process; ensure business needs are met by asking detailed questions
- Produce and maintain requirements documentation
- Create clear, concise, detail oriented test plans and test cases based on functional specifications
- Liaise with development team, project management and business owners for testing and QA related functions via daily meetings as required
- Perform both new functionality and regression tests; identify, rate and report issues for follow-up
- Ensure the integrity of test material by maintaining procedures and guidelines for updating and archiving regression tests
- Utilize QA procedures and methodologies where applicable
- Take initiative to contribute to the refinement of existing Development Model processes
Required Skills and Experience - Experience working with web based enterprise management systems
- Analytical, thorough, logical, detail-oriented, team player
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills
- General understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies
- Business-oriented; ability to boil down complex business needs into simple requirements and understand the technical implementation of same requirements set
- Describe functionality to a programmer, or group of programmers
- Ability to write test plans from requirements and use cases
- Provide accurate task-based work estimates
- Proficient in MS Office
- Extremely proactive -- always looking for more work

Desired Skills and Experience - Previous Quality Assurance and/or Business Analysis experience
- Experience implementing/performing automated testing
- QA certification/course completion
- Familiarity with data modeling and working with databases including SQL
