Optimization Capabilities

How it Works
OPTIMAX® works on three different levels to determine which placement opportunities are likely to generate the most response for a particular campaign.

  • Level 1 - Media Placement: the most effective media placement for each ad served is selected based on category-level, site level and site-location performance.
  • Level 2 - Audience Segment: the most responsive audience is selected based on performance trends linked to factors like geography, time of day, connection speed and web browser.
  • Level 3 - Creative: for campaigns with multiple creative iterations, OPTIMAX® automatically places individual creative before those audience segments that generate the most response; creative that fall short of performance goals are automatically removed from the ad rotation.

OPTIMAX® determines which creative to place before which audience on which site to yield the best possible result.

Weighted Average and Goal-Based Optimization
The OPTIMAX® system was designed to provide a direct correlation between an advertiser's campaign objectives and the performance of their campaigns. Campaigns can be optimized to virtually any performance objective, for example by CPA, CTR or ROI. When a goal is specified, any placements, audience segments or creative that produce results below the specified threshold are automatically removed from rotation.

Where a specific campaign goal is not specified, OPTIMAX® employs a weighted-average approach to optimization. In this approach, a higher proportion of impressions are allocated to overall higher performing placements, creative and audience segments to yield optimal results even without a specific campaign objective.

Real-Time
OPTIMAX® analyzes campaign performance data in real-time and uses this input to dynamically adjust its targeting and placement strategies for a particular campaign.

Rich Media Support
OPTIMAX® supports analysis and reporting for all standard rich media ad units and formats.

Web-Based, Hosted Solution
Advertisers can access their reports from any location at any time over the web using a standard web browser.

Intuitive and Easy to Use
The reporting interface is intuitive and easy to use. No training or technical expertise is required. Change the sort order of table data with the click of a button (view data in ascending or descending order by date, campaign, or metric). Green, yellow and red performance indicators make it easy to visually identify performance attributes.
